Suspicious

I love our kitties, but sometimes they are so naughty! I went to water my seeds tonight & found one of the trays of pea seeds (in newspaper pots) had been knocked off the windowsill

One of them was shredded, so I’m assuming it was Noodle as he loves shredding things. Thankfully only three of the peas were lost, & we had some surplus anyway. The others I refilled with soil where necessary & hopefully they’ll be ok – some are 2cm tall now, & I’m going to plant them out this weekend if the weather is ok.

… well, maybe not, we’ve only had a handful of frosts so far. Apparently it has been quite a warm winter, which is good because our fire is stuffed!   We’re looking at getting a replacement some time soon, but it requires a few renovations to be made at the same time. So expect some photos of that in the next month or so!

The garden is looking good despite the weather – we have been raking up leaves for the compost piles, and I put some in a bag to make leaf mold which apprently adds awesome nutrients to the garden once it has sit for 6 – 12 months. Continue reading
